Due to the unpredictable nature of reptiles and amphibians, temperaments can not be guaranteed, therefore no representative of this rescue can or will be liable for any injuries sustained directly relating to the adoption of said reptile. This includes but not limited to bites, scratches and cuts or any zoonotic disease (i.e. salmonella). By adopting this reptile, we assume that you are aware of any potential risks involved in keeping this reptile and must provide appropriate permits when applicable. You also need to be fully educated about the proper husbandry involved in keeping the reptile being adopted. We also reserve the right to remove any adopted reptile from your home / facility if there is evidence of abuse and / or neglect.
Animals being adopted will only be adopted locally (no shipping unless under special circumstances). This assists us in screening potential adopters. Also, we do not adopt out rescued animals to individuals intending to breed for monetary gain. It is our way of keeping frequently neglected reptiles (i.e. Iguanas and Burmese Pythons) from saturating the pet market and being sold indiscriminately to consumers.
